Minnievet Marrero is organizing a GoFundMe, “Loss of our mother,” to raise money for funeral expenses.

The family is seeking to raise $10,000; as of Thursday, Aug. 13, they had collected $5,575 from 133 donors.

Perez, 47, was killed on Saturday, Aug. 8, along with her boyfriend Munez Badillo, 49, who is suspected of orchestrating a murder-suicide.

The two were found at Perez’s Central Street apartment building. Badillo lived on Prospect Street, the Worcester District Attorney’s Office said.
